I notice that the price of gold for example 22k gold in a jewelry store is much more expensive than 24k gold in the world gold market. how is the price in the shop derived?

i want something along the lines of these except not necessarily gold/silver. I don’t want something cheap though like from Claire’s cause theirs turn weird colors after a period of time after using them.
