Open Question: Is it just me, or is this crazy?
My husband works for a well known photographic store, who have a comments forum for their staff.
They have just changed the policy for petty cash, so that staff cannot take a few coins for milk or tea or toilet rolls, they have to buy it themselves, with THEIR money, and claim it back, with no guarantee they will get it, knowing this firm.
On the forum, loads of staff were defending it, saying “I often buy the milk out of my own money and don’t claim it back” or “I pay for the postage for the store out of my own money and will continue to do so”.
WHY?? Isn’t that the most stupid thing you have ever read? Tell you what, why don’t they just PAY to work there? Or they could let the area manager come and flog them for it!
What sort of mental cases are these?
Tea, coffee and milk is freely offered by many companies.
I do not expect them to pay for lunches, but not providing tea and coffee and milk is so tight, it is beyond belief.
PS I have read my post five times again and nowhere did I even suggest I was talking about food, learn to read.
